Summary:
- Cycle 2: Runs from March 15th – April 30th, 2025 (Six weeks, four matches – very doable!).
- Scheduling: Use the attached email contact sheet to coordinate with others in your box.
- Results Reporting: Record match results on the sheet located next to the men’s locker room door.
Key Points:
- Friendly, Social Competition: I am sure this doesn’t need to be said but this league is meant to be enjoyable. Please maintain good sportsmanship and respectful play. If there’s a let call, award a stroke only if both players are certain. When in doubt, replay the point.
- Prioritize Playing Your Matches: Over the six-week period, you are responsible for reaching out to each player in your box and scheduling your matches. Use the attached contact sheet or find members’ details on the PSC website via Book a Court → Directory → Look up member contact info. Do not wait for others to contact you! Matches that aren’t played won’t earn points unless one player concedes due to unavailability.
- Match Format:
- Best of five games
- Point-a-rally scoring to 11 (win by at least 2 points)
- Feel free to play different formats if you prefer, I just need to know who won.
- Recording Results:
- Use the physical scoresheet (attached & posted next to the men’s locker room door).
- Find the row with your name and enter the number of games you won in the column for your opponent. See the attached score sheet.
- If a match is forfeited, record it as a 3(F)-0 win for the available player.
- Promotion & Relegation:
- Scoring: 2 points for playing, +2 points for a win
- The top two players in each box will move up, and the bottom two will move down.
- Tiebreakers: Game difference first, then a coin toss if needed.
- Adjustments may occur if players join or leave the league.
- Can’t Play Next Cycle? Let me know in advance so I can exclude you temporarily. Your position will generally be frozen but not for more than one cycle.
